Love like they do in 2025.

The Christmas gift this year was the film of my nephew getting married. I could also ask permission to share these images. My niece has a cinema room where the extended family gathered.

Lights dimmed and we were treated to a professionally made film that could have come out of Tyler Perry Studios, or the images sit nicely in a Vogue-type magazine. It’s turned participants into minor celebrities; they’re being stopped in public and showered with compliments.

The couple Niza and Rianaa met at ARC 2.0 Church where he’s ministry lead of media. Niza’s brother, Omar, is the pastor. ARC 2.0 is a transgenerational church.

Often I find myself looking on with awe and wonderment at the task my sisters, as well as their children, have accomplished. Omar preaches about their background and their transformation.

In one of the shots posted, on the right is Brett (Niza and Omar’s cousin). He’s an actor who’s starred in The Nevers (2021–23)

All the family are truly inspiring. The last shot is of Ama, Nizar’s mum (my sister) who with my big sister Di are about to go back to Ghana to open up a primary school.

They’ve worked really hard to pursue this dream and I wish them so much love and the best. Ama is laughing with her two daughters ( social worker & sports director/ vogue runway model). Johnny (my son) financial journalist is in the middle.

Happy New Year
