Remember that scene in Intestellar…”The World doesn’t need more engineers”. Well, we thought what if the world didn’t need any more journos, at least in their current form. What if you you could tell all sorts of stories? There were no boundaries, and you could build things as well, like prototype apps?

From mood phones to alert your friends and lecturer how you feel, renting your own umbrella, creating a new finance scheme, and using VR to help teachers train for the classroom. These have been your ideas. We just help you realise them, whilst having a good laugh.

There’s a couple of techniques we employ that help you become a master Story Hubster. We call it Stacked.

The feedback’s been, well, we’ve been chuffed running an earlier parallel programme.

JT and I (David) are running a bespoke version to show how creative you can be in a short space of time.

That’s me and JT that one of our previous students on our programme sent to us.

We use similar approaches in our professional jobs, from David working with Clwstwr start- ups ( See here) and JT completing work at the Story Academy in immersive media training professionals in “Training the Trainer”.

Back to our Story Hub, it involves some game playing, which is all about forming connections in creativity and detective-like work — if you like that sort of thing — which boosts analogical thinking.

You’ll get to present you work. Don’t worry if you’ve never done that before. We’ll coach you as if you’re getting ready for your TED talk.

And feature in our new look magazine.

One you’ve filled in some details on the email where you found this link. We’ll contact you. It’s some days together and then free time working up your idea. And we find a mentor/coach to help out.

It’s simple really. The email for this has a link. Click then link if you’re at Cardiff University. Sorry this one’s open to Cardiffians at the moment, but next time we’re making it open, open.

See you soon! Some of our past participants and Jess (Tramshed Tech) and Oliver ( Wagonex) — two of our mentor coaches.
