Thoroughly enjoyable Ann. Indeed it’s a rich area to mine. My PhD from University College Dublin explored emotions from within a new type of journalist, a cinema journalist, using emotions in a knowingly purposeful way. A sort of rift off the science and poetics (art, Bordwell theme) of storytelling. One or two interesting bits when I was giving an address to the British Film Institute and used laughter as a device for recollection and then interesting ideas of emotions as a construct being culturally generated. My folks are Ghanaians and having lived there and in South Africa have seen this at play. This might interest you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqVpdyR_7Z4 Thanks
